Cyberbullies Beware: How to Outsmart, Overcome, and Stay Drama-Free!
About Lesson

Cyberbullying happens when someone uses digital platforms like social media, messaging apps, or gaming communities to target, harass, embarrass, or intimidate another person. Unlike face-to-face bullying, where you can see the other person’s reactions right away, cyberbullying hides behind a screen, often making it easier for people to say things they’d never have the courage to say in real life. The anonymity of the internet can make the bully feel protected, but the effects on the victim can be just as real, if not worse, than traditional bullying.

In the past, if someone was being bullied, it usually ended when they went home. But today, cyberbullying means the harassment can follow you everywhere—your phone, your tablet, your computer—anytime you’re connected. For teens especially, this can feel overwhelming because it’s hard to escape from. The internet never sleeps, and once something is posted, it’s out there for potentially everyone to see.
